Ford Transit, regular body. Gloucester, Massachusetts. The van connects a New England coast address to a mountain property above the water in Costa Rica. One requirement set the layout: a second sleeping position. She travels alone most of the time; her son and her friends meet her on the road. Outdoor shower at the rear doors, and the interior footprint went to storage and living space instead. The van carries a collapsible e-bike, an inflatable kayak, a travel guitar, drawing supplies, and her cat. Bookmatched white oak, plain-sliced, radiused at every edge. Alabaster shiplap, walls and ceiling. White oak butcher block. Built for what comes next.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Design comes first. The interior sets the standard. Every commission begins with a brief. The brief starts with one question: what does this person step into next. The interior is authored from the answer. Work begins in the Owner Studio. Mood boards are drawn from the owner's references and narrowed to a specific palette: cabinetry species, hardware, flooring, upholstery, paint, fixtures. Every decision is named before the build starts. No predefined packages. No template layouts. The interior is designed before the van is built, and it is built once.

Coverage Summary

Every Drifter commission includes the Limited DrifterCare™ Warranty: one year from delivery, covering defects in workmanship and materials on the conversion Drifter built. Repair or replacement at Drifter's discretion. Service at the Drifter facility in Southfield, Michigan.

DrifterCare™ Extended

Adds one additional year. Same coverage, same terms.

DrifterCare™ Nationwide

Two years or 30,000 miles from the in-service date, whichever comes first. Covers electrical, plumbing, hydronic systems, and interior carpentry installed by Drifter. Third-party repairs up to $5,000 per claim, $9,000 aggregate, $100 deductible per approved claim. Within 200 miles of Southfield, service happens at the Drifter facility. Beyond that, Drifter authorizes a licensed repair facility near you and pays it directly. Priced by location.
