THE DRIFTER COACHCRAFT STANDARD

THE DRIFTER CUSTOM CAMPERVAN BUILD PROCESS

A proprietary build process that turns a single chassis into a one-of-one custom campervan.

The Drifter Difference

A Drifter is commissioned, designed, engineered, built, documented, and delivered through one controlled process. Instead of fitting you into a preset floor plan, Drifter begins with how you live and travel, then guides the build through a disciplined sequence of design, engineering, and craftsmanship. You work directly with owners Paul and Kim, alongside the master builders and interior design team, with your personal Owner Studio from day one. This is the Drifter Difference: one van, one owner, one standard, executed under the Drifter Coachcraft Standard.

Discovery Call & Proposal

The process begins with a 15-minute discovery call. Drifter asks how you expect to use the van, who will travel, which platform you are considering, what features matter most, and where you are in the ownership timeline. If the project appears to fit, a longer consultation explores layouts, systems, materials, timing, and a realistic conversion range.

Secure Your Build & Begin Design

A signed agreement and reservation deposit secure your position in the Andara Collection, and the van enters Drifter's proprietary build process. You work with the owners and master builders to select the Transit or Sprinter chassis and establish the floor plan, while the interior design team shapes the space: cabinetry, materials, colors, lighting, storage, and the details that make it yours. Layout, systems, plumbing, electrical, and climate are resolved before production. Drifter coordinates the chassis order through trusted dealer partners so design and production move together, and every selection is recorded in your private Owner Studio the day it's decided.

Crafting your Drifter

First, Drifter converts the approved design into production information: materials ordered, cabinetry scheduled, systems integration confirmed. This stage protects the build from improvised decisions later.

Then the van reaches the workshop floor. Master builders, electricians, and systems specialists move through a disciplined sequence: structure, systems, cabinetry, finishes. Every cut, wire, panel, and surface is checked against your plan.

Owner Studio is the private portal behind your commission, accessible from your computer or phone. It holds your documents, chassis status, interior design selections, and build status, with photo updates at every stage. Wherever you are in the world, it keeps you close to the work: the record updates as it happens, and you read it on your own time.

Completion & Delivery

When the build is complete, Drifter runs fit-and-finish review and systems testing, then brings everything together in a calm, thorough handover. Delivery happens in person at the Drifter workshop in Michigan. As an upgrade, Drifter delivers the van to your door, with a technician who walks you through every system on your own driveway. Either way, every question gets answered before the keys change hands. You step into ownership with DrifterCare coverage and the complete record of the build. Made for real travel, not the showroom floor.

15 Minute Discovery Call

Begin with a 15-minute discovery call: how you'll use the van, platform, investment range, and whether the project fits the 2027 Andara Collection. If it fits, the next step is a one-hour proposal call, and Drifter prepares a full proposal.
