Financing Your Custom Campervan
If you prefer to spread payments over time, financing a truly custom campervan works a little differently than financing a standard RV off a lot.
Talk With Drifter First
It starts with a member of the Drifter team: together you set the build price and the van that fits. A $5,000 deposit reserves your place in the Collection Series while you continue designing and find the right van.
Find Your Van
Financing a custom build needs real numbers. You find your van, and we work from its actual VIN and final price, taxes included. With the van price and build price set, financing is ready to run.
Match With a Specialized Lender
Traditional banks rarely lend on Drifter vans: they price from NADA, and a one-of-one build has no NADA entry. Our financing partner works in custom RVs, boats, and cars. A real person reviews where you stand and matches you with the lender that fits your situation.
Terms and Down Payment
Your financing runs here — the first hard inquiry of the process. You receive your terms. Depending on those terms and the total for van and build, the down payment runs 20–50%.
One Package, Like an RV
On approval, your van and build fund together as one package, the way RV financing works. Monthly payments usually begin when the loan funds, so financing is timed to start about two months before your build. Most owners make three to five months of payments before they receive their van.
