Custom Campervan Nationwide Warranty: DrifterCare Coverage

I spent a morning in the Drifter workshop last month, and I'll be honest—I wasn't there to talk about warranties.
I was there to watch a build come together. To see the wiring run clean through labeled channels. To watch a cabinet get test-fit, adjusted, and test-fit again. To hear a master builder explain why a particular fastener matters more than the one that looks the same but isn't.
And somewhere in that conversation, warranty came up.
Not as a sales pitch. More like a quiet point of pride.
"We build these so we can stand behind them," one of the builders said. "That's the whole idea."
That stuck with me.
Why Warranty Matters for a Custom Campervan

Here's the reality: a campervan is a moving vehicle.
It vibrates. It hits potholes. It sits in desert heat and mountain cold. It gets used—in real weather, real miles, real life.
Even the best-built custom campervan lives in the real world. And the real world tests everything.
That's why Drifter created DrifterCare—not because they expect problems, but because when you commission a campervan at this level, peace of mind should travel with you.
Why Nationwide Coverage Is Harder for a Small Coachbuilder

With mass-produced RVs, warranty support is often simpler. Those companies build thousands of units and have dealer networks across the country. Something needs attention? There's usually a known path: dealer, service center, repair authorization—done.
Drifter doesn't have that infrastructure. They're a small-batch coachbuilder in Southfield, Michigan, building twenty-four vans a year.
So offering nationwide coverage isn't automatic. It takes intention. Systems. A way of building that can actually be supported from a distance.
"If you're going to stand behind your work," Paul told me, "you have to build in a way that makes that possible."
That's what Drifter Coachcraft Standards are for. And that's what makes DrifterCare work.
DrifterCare Warranty Options: A Simple Breakdown
If you're researching custom campervan warranty coverage, here's how DrifterCare works.
Every Drifter build includes Limited DrifterCare coverage. Owners can upgrade based on how they travel and where they live.
Included: Limited DrifterCare (1 Year)
Covers Drifter's coach-side workmanship for one year
If something Drifter built needs correction, they'll repair or replace it
Warranty work handled at Drifter Vans in Southfield, Michigan—owner brings the vehicle
Optional Upgrade: Limited DrifterCare (2 Years)
Extends coach-side workmanship coverage to two years
Warranty work can be coordinated across the U.S. when approved by a Drifter representative
Optional Upgrade: DrifterCare Nationwide (2 Years / 30,000 Miles)
Adds coverage for coach-side systems installed by Drifter—electrical, plumbing, hydronic heating, and interior structures
Designed for owners who travel—support can be authorized anywhere in the U.S. when approved by a Drifter representative before work begins
Does not cover chassis or OEM vehicle systems; appliances are typically handled through their manufacturer warranties
Note: Every build includes one-year Limited DrifterCare. Pricing for the two-year Limited option and DrifterCare Nationwide varies based on location and build details.
What Makes This Possible: Drifter Coachcraft Standards

Warranty only works if the build can support it.
Drifter Coachcraft is a methodical way of building:
Design before production—no cutting first and hoping later
Systems planned and integrated intentionally—electrical, plumbing, heating engineered from the start
Service access considered from the beginning—so repairs don't require tearing things apart
Materials chosen for real road life—vibration, temperature swings, daily use
Quality checks throughout—not just a walkthrough at the end
That discipline is what makes it possible to offer real warranty support—not just a piece of paper, but a commitment that holds up
.
Built to Travel. Backed to Travel.
A Drifter campervan is commissioned, not configured. Built with intention, premium components, and the kind of process most companies don't take time to run.
DrifterCare Nationwide is simply Drifter's way of saying: We stand behind what we build—wherever your road takes you.
Thinking about a custom campervan and wondering what support looks like after delivery? Drifter's team is happy to walk you through it.
