Welcome to The Drift—a vanlife blog with heart, craft, and real perspective.
This is the storytelling hub of Drifter Vans—a place where we pull back the curtain on vanlife. Not the polished version, but the one with muddy boots by the door, favorite mugs tucked into handmade shelves, and voices that echo from shop floor to open highway.
Here, we share what goes into our builds—and the people who bring them to life. From our designers sketching quiet magic into small spaces, to the clients chasing new beginnings on four wheels, this is where their stories live.
It’s vanlife told from the inside out. And we’re so glad you’re here.

Why We Created The Drift
It’s Paul here—co-owner of Drifter Vans and editor of The Drift. I’ve always believed stories matter. Not just the polished ones, but the messy, beautiful, behind-the-scenes kind: the design decisions, the shop-floor wisdom, the real-life journeys that shape life on the road.
To bring those stories to life, I’ve built The Drift as a collection of voices—some from our team, some from clients, some imagined through the lens of all the people who make this community what it is.
This blog is my way of staying connected, staying honest, and sharing what we’ve learned along the way. There’s a real person behind the curtain. And I’m glad you’re here.

Hello bloggers and writers—both big and small. We’d like to give you a voice and a platform to share your story with our audience. If you’d like to write a guest article on The Drift, we’ll include a link to your site and promote what you’re doing.
We’re also looking for passionate writers to become part of The Drift team—people who want to interview our build crew, our interior designers, and the clients who inspire our work. If that’s you, let’s talk.
